Majora's Mask

BBack in his childhood after Ocarina of Time, the Hero of Time leaves Hyrule on Epona to look for Navi, the fairy who left him. Months later, in a forest, a Skull Kid wearing a strange mask robs him, curses him into the form of a Deku Scrub and draws him into Termina, a land parallel to Hyrule. A moon with a grimacing face hangs over Clock Town and will fall in three days.

Link can only return to the dawn of the first day by playing the Song of Time. He lives the same three days again and again. Many of Termina's people look like people from Hyrule. The Happy Mask Salesman from Ocarina of Time is here too. Masks let Link take the forms of a Deku, a Goron and a Zora.

It is the first game of the child timeline, which follows Link after he is sent back at the end of Ocarina of Time. Twilight Princess comes long afterward in the same branch. Hyrule Historia identifies the Hero's Shade who trains Link there as this Link.
