Echoes of Wisdom

RRifts are opening across Hyrule and swallowing people and places. Link fights his way into the Suthorn Ruins and frees Princess Zelda from a crystal in which Ganon has trapped her, then is pulled into a rift himself. The King of Hyrule soon disappears as well. A false king accuses Zelda of causing the rifts and has her locked away.

A fairy named Tri helps Zelda escape and gives her the Tri Rod, which lets her create echoes, copies of objects and monsters she has seen. With help from Impa, Zelda travels Hyrule to mend the rifts, which lead into the Still World, a frozen, broken echo of Hyrule. The largest open on Eldin Volcano, in the Faron Wetlands and on Holy Mount Lanayru, places tied to the three Golden Goddesses.

Nintendo placed it in the fallen hero branch in November 2024, after Tri Force Heroes. Its chronicle follows it with the Golden Era, when kings rule Hyrule with the united Triforce. Then comes the decline that leaves Hyrule a small kingdom by the time of The Legend of Zelda.
